Do they work in the cold?

Modern cold-climate heat pumps keep heating efficiently well below freezing — far colder than most Northeast Ohio nights ever get. On the rare deep-cold stretch, a backup heat source takes over briefly. The rest of the year, the heat pump does the work quietly and efficiently.

One system, both seasons

A heat pump heats and cools — your furnace's job and your AC's job in one efficient unit. If you're replacing an aging furnace and AC around the same time, that's often when a heat pump makes the most sense.

Is it worth the cost?

Heat pumps are typically two to three times more efficient than older equipment. There's also a federal tax credit covering 30% of a qualifying system, plus periodic utility rebates.
